The Description

With these funds I will purchase journals for all of my students (3 classes, 80 students in total). They will use these notebooks to journal every day at the beginning of class. Through this I want to promote further writing development and ownership. I will purchase 7 packs of 12 notebooks each. Amazon sells these for $20 each (http://www.amazon.com/Mead-Composition-Notebook-Ruled-Sheets/dp/B0028N6PSS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450196325&sr=8-3&keywords=notebook+pack), so together with taxes and PledgeCents fees, I am requesting $160.

I will use whatever funds I do receive to purchase notebooks.

Hi! I teach 10th and 11th grade English at a charter school in Memphis. I came to this work because I have a passion for education as a tool to break the cycle of social injustice in the United States. My school serves students who are mostly of racial minorities and from homes with low incomes.
