With these funds I will purchase a Kindle ($50) for our students.

To raise students' test scores, they use a computer program called Reading Plus. However, with only five working computers in the class, and those being very slow, many times they spend half the class just logging on. With the one requested Kindle they will be able to sit comfortably at their seat and work without worrying about it freezing or not saving their work. They will also be able to use it for e-books instead of worrying about which books I have available and that they are torn. With the tablets they will have access to all books.

This Kindle is going to open all kinds of doors for them and help their test scores by making them more comfortable when they start working at their reading levels.

They will be able to work on Reading Plus when they want and not have to worry about the computers not working, along with reading great books.
