Building Problem Solvers & Critical Thinkers With Pythonroom
$0
$732 goal

The Description
Almost all of the jobs my students will hold in the future will require them to have working knowledge of technology and programming. This year I want to engage my students in coding lessons with Pythonroom. Not only will it help them build critical skills in computer science and programming language, but it will also Develop key critical thinking and problem solving skills.
With Pythonroom’s curriculum students will have access to over hundreds of problems that will move their understanding past basic block-based languages and will have them coding in an actual programming language. Since Pythonroom is designed for teachers, it will also allow me to identify common misunderstandings as well as to how best apply these skills in the real world.
This is where you come in! Pythonroom comes at a small cost and every dollar you invest brings it one step closer to my students.
Here is the breakdown in cost for fundraising for Pythonroom
- Pythonroom - $600.00
- Preferred Partner Program (10%) - $73.20
- PledgeCents Platform Fee (5%) - $36.60
- Processing Fee (3%) - $21.96
- Total - $732.00 (rounded up to the nearest dollar)
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal, I will be utilizing additional fundraising and/or donations to offset the cost of this wonderful program.
About the Creator

I am the computer science teacher at Clarke County High School in Virginia. Currently, my students have been very successful in their efforts to learn programming code with Python Room. As you may know, Python Room is coming out of Beta and will now be a paid subscription. I would love to continue watching my students succeed with Python Room and ask for your help to off-set the $300 yearly cost. I currently teach two sections and would need two classes funded for a total of $600. My students and I thank you in advance for your generosity.
