With these funds, I will provide school supplies for each of my students. The money raised will ensure each child receives notebooks, pencils, pens, paper, and any other necessary classroom supplies. The vast majority of my students walk into school each day with no school supplies. Having these supplies will make one less barrier toward success for my students.

With $400 I can spend approximately $3.71 on each of my 108 students. This will ensure that each of my students has a spiral notebook (to be used as an interactive notebook for my course), a pack of pencils, a pack of pens, markers, and loose leaf paper to begin the year.

Interactive notebooks allow students to take daily notes and complete interactive activities all in one notebook that will remain in class bins inside my classroom.

Because my school is located in an underserved area, students often go without the necessary supplies needed to be prepared for the start of a new school year. Through donations, you can assist in assuring students have all the materials needed to be successful, despite their personal resources.
