Albert Bridge School is a small rural elementary school serving kindergarten through grade six. Classes consist of both single grade and multi-grade classrooms. Currently the Primary Unit includes single grade classes for K, 1 and 2. The Intermediate Unit comprises a grade 3, multi-aged class 4th and 5th grade and an independent grade 6. The intermediate students study with teachers focused in each content area. ABS hosts a full day kindergarten program. The current elementary school population is 84 students. After completing sixth grade, Brownsville students may attend a middle/high school of family choice. Full tuition is paid to public schools while state average tuition is paid to approved private schools.

Along with traditional academic courses, ABS offers Spanish, Art, Music, Guidance and Physical Education. Volunteers bring “hands-on” science lessons through Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS). Intermediate students participate in Environmental Citizenship (EC). After school activities include, athletics, music lessons, and clubs.
