The district was formed in 1965 with the consolidation of five smaller districts. Olathe Public Schools is now the second-largest district in Kansas. The Olathe district, known for quality and excellence, has experienced continuous growth since 1965. Our system for managing growth and facilities reflects this same quality and excellence.
