Located near the Estrella Mountains, Desert Edge High School is the third high school in Agua Fria Union High School District, opening in the fall of 2002. Desert Edge was the first "Green" Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver certificate high school in Arizona, and the forth in the nation. Desert Edge is located on Estrella Parkway and Yuma Road across fro the Goodyear Ballpark, Spring training home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.

The vision of the Agua Fria Union High School District is "All Students College and Career Ready". This is a lofty vision, but one that Desert Edge High School takes very seriously.

In addition to classes in the core subject areas, Desert Edge offers classes in Career and Technical Education and the Arts. With "Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships" as our driving force in every Desert Edge program and classroom, students will be academically challenged, engaged by instruction linked to real world applications, and supported by caring adult advocates.
