The mission at D. F. Walker Elementary School is “to encourage success by meeting individual needs.” We strive to provide this for each student by focusing on the characteristics of a well-rounded, healthy child. We truly believe that “The D. F. Walker Hive is a place for all to thrive.”
As a Title I school, we have a staff of 30 teachers and 28 support staff members, serving 480 students in grades 3-5. Our school has an outstanding staff which works hard to help all children reach their maximum potential. Seven of our teachers have earned National Board Certification and 97% of our teachers are highly qualified in their content areas as defined by federal and state guidelines.
