Hello, all! Thanks for taking the time to visit this page and take interest in what I'm doing. I recently moved from Colorado to Austin, TX where I have been hired to teach 6th grade Language Arts at a title I middle school. I'm beyond excited about this opportunity to support students who need it most. However, most teachers spend upward of $500 out-of-pocket on their classroom supplies each school year. As a recent college-grad this is difficult for me to do. Any amount helps me provide these students with the resources they need to learn in a comfortable, safe, and productive environment. I work in a Title I, middle school in Texas. All of my students are considered economically disadvantaged. They face a range of other challenges every single day. The majority of the students I work with have a variety of learning disabilities such as ADHD, emotional disturbance or have experienced trauma in their lives. My students are kind, hard-working and amazing. They make me proud everyday. I set high expectations for my students and I am constantly amazed by their efforts despite the many challenges they face. My students continue to help me grow into a better educator and inspire me everyday.
