The mission of the Des Plaines Community Education System is to equip our students with the skills necessary for their success as responsible citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners by providing the best possible educational climate, curriculum, resources, and staff. ICS is School District 62’s open enrollment, option school, meaning any student residing in District 62 is eligible to apply to attend.

Since Iroquois opened in July 1997, Des Plaines families have been offered programming for students in Kindergarten through Eighth grade. The grade configuration of K-8 is different than that of other schools in District 62, eight of which are K-5 Grade Schools, and two that are Middle Schools, grades 6 – 8.
