Jaime D. Padron Elementary is Austin’s newest and largest elementary campus, with 57 classrooms on a bright, iinviting state-of-the art campus in north Austin. The school’s mission is to ensure that all students reach their highest potential and are prepared for college and the career of their choice. Parents and community members are encouraged to be actively involved in school activities. The facility has earned awards for its environmentally sustainable design, which includes using solar energy and other energy efficiency measures.

1st Grade Teacher
I am a sixth year 1st grade teacher in a Title 1 school in the Texas Hill Country. I love teaching and truly believe it is the best job in the world. It's true what they say- "Teaching is the profession that teaches all other professions." My teaching motto is "Teachers who love teaching teach children to love learning." I absolutely want my students to be able to pass their end of the year tests but wholeheartedly believe that those tests are NOT the end all be all. The true measure of my success as a teacher is that my students leave me being able to problem solve, manage their emotions and have developed a lifelong love of learning!
