About

Our school is located in Raymond, Mississippi. Students from Bolton, Edwards, Learned, Raymond and Utica attend Raymond High School which received a rating of "Focus" from the State of Mississippi during the 2011-12 School year. Ms. Shakinna Patterson is our principal, and Ms. Daffonie Moore is our assistant principal. They are assisted in the administration by Mr. Eric Green, Academic Collaborator and Athletics Administrator.

Raymond High School offers college prep courses in mathematics, science, English, social sciences, Spanish, computer science, art, and music. It also has an exceptional Air Force ROTC program that attracts a number of students every year.

Students participate in a wide range of athletic and extra-curricular activities throughout the school year. Inter-scholastic athletics include football, slow-and fast-pitch softball, girls' and boys' basketball, cross country, baseball, bowling and track and field. Teams compete in the Mississippi High School Activities Association's class 4A. Our school mascot is the "Ranger", and our school colors, blue and gold, are worn with pride.

The Mission of Raymond High School is to effectively create a positive and safe environment conducive to the success of all students. At Raymond High School, the role of the teacher is as the facilitator of the learning process. The teacher is viewed as a model for students and the parent is viewed as an essential contributor to the learning process.
