About

The Woodland Hills Elementary School was built in the 1920s as a two room bungalow on San Miguel street by Woodland Hills founder Victor Girard. The school was known as Girard Elementary according to Harvey Parkinson, 65, who attended the school then.

We have some of the best teachers in the area who's dedication to the students and our community are unmatched. Our school would not function without the help of everyone, especially our fabulous and selfless support staff. We are committed to our local neighborhood and you can find all the information about how to join our school. We are proud that all the hard work and dedication has paid off as we have been recognized as a leading school in the area. We work hard to provide all our students a great environment and can see how our school day is structured. Our school follows all the standard rules of governance and all meetings and policies are recorded as open public information.

5th grade teacher

Thank you for visiting this page, set up to help provide quality art instruction to 28 wonderful 5th graders. Art is ESSENTIAL for all human beings, but especially kids, allowing them to create, experiment, and problem-solve, and giving them opportunities to de-stress and build self-esteem. Arts Attack was developed by a studio art teacher with 30 years experience in teaching elementary school children. The products that I have seen created by children using this program are extraordinary, and I can't wait to share the experience with my class. Thank you for bringing art to my classroom!

Kindergarten Teacher

I have been a public-school kindergarten teacher for the last 20 years. I want to enrich my students' education with engaging learning experiences, especially in the arts. I believe the most exciting way for the children to learn and be excited about school is to expose them to a variety of artistic outlets, either music, dance, arts, or theatre. There are many creative ways to tie in the arts to other curricular areas, especially in language arts and math.
