                The Description
With these funds I will be able to buy interesting reading material for my students and build our classroom library. With these funds I would be able to provide the opportunity for our young men to explore the world and gain a passion for reading. As we may know students who do not find interesting reading material tend to not become invested. Therefore, with this money I hope to find relevant material that will spark their interest and awaken their passion through literature. Fifty-seven students will be impacted by your contribution. I would like to purchase a variety of reading material such as:
- Letters to a Young Brother by Hill Harper $14.40
 - Up From Slavery Booker T. Washington $3.60
 - Etched in Clasy: The Life of Dave, Enslaved Potter and Poe by Andrea Cheng $14.11
 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series $79.99
 - It's Complicated by Danah Boyd $10.83
 - Baseball in April by Gary Soto $6.99
 - Buried Onions by Gary Soto $6.95
 - Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Journey to Change the World by Sarah Thomson $7.38
 - Monster by Walter Dean Myles $9.93
 - The Silence of Our Friends by Mark Long $11.22
 - Mark: Book One, Two, and Three by Mark Long, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell $32.33

Many of the books can be found at Amazon. Com. I will purchase as many books as possible with the money I raise and I will continue to work throughout the year to find material that peak the interest of the young men that I teach. Your contribution will be well appreciated.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I still purchase relevant books for my students with the funds I do raise and continue to work to build our classroom library.

December 2, 2015
I want to thank everyone for donating to our cause. We didn't quite reach our goal, however the money that we did raise will help me buy a few books to enhance our classroom library. We will continue to work towards our goal and building an enriching library for our students.
