The Description
With these funds, I will provide my K–5 science students in Minneapolis with reliable, working technology that supports both in-class and online learning. These funds will be used to purchase tablets or iPads for students who do not have consistent access to a device at home or in the classroom.
When school shifts to online or hybrid instruction, this technology will allow my students to attend virtual classes, complete assignments, watch science demonstrations, and participate in interactive lessons without interruption. In the classroom, these devices will be used for hands-on science activities, virtual experiments, research, and differentiated instruction that meets students at their individual learning levels.
These funds will also help ensure equity in my classroom by removing barriers caused by limited access to technology. Students will be able to stay engaged, build confidence, and continue learning regardless of their circumstances. Having dependable technology allows me to support diverse learners, provide immediate feedback, and create meaningful learning experiences.
Ultimately, these funds will help keep my students connected to learning, curious about science, and prepared for success in a world where technology plays a vital role in education. Your support will make a direct and lasting impact on my students’ academic growth and overall learning experience.
Back Up Plan
If we do not reach our fundraising goal, I will use the funds raised to purchase as much working technology as possible for my classroom. I will prioritize the most essential items, such as one or four tablets or iPads, so that students who need them most can still benefit.
Even partial funding will make a meaningful difference. Any devices purchased will be shared among students for small-group instruction, science activities, and online learning needs. If full devices are not possible, the funds will be used to purchase alternative technology resources or accessories that support student learning and engagement.
No matter the amount raised, all funds will be used responsibly to support my students and ensure they have improved access to learning tools that help them stay connected, engaged, and successful.
About the Creator
I teach students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face challenges that extend beyond the classroom. While my students are eager to learn, not all of them have access to the resources and technology needed to fully participate in today’s learning environment. At times, our school shifts to online or hybrid learning, making reliable technology essential for student success.
As a teacher, I strive to create an inclusive and supportive classroom where every child feels valued and capable. I work hard to make science engaging, hands-on, and meaningful, even when resources are limited. I believe that every student deserves equal access to learning tools that help them grow in confidence and curiosity.
