The Description
With these funds I will buy e-books for students to read on our new e-readers. By popular demand, the Big Nate series will be the first purchase. The e-readers are primarily for our Special Education and English Language Learners so they can have access to multiple short books on one device as well as a built-in dictionary to instantly look up unknown words. These are a group of kids who have extra challenges in life and really deserve a fun, helpful new tool that will get them exited about reading!

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase e-books, just less of them. Do you really want less books for kids...?

So far we have bought two ebooks: one for an English-language learner who is making regular use of the built-in dictionary features on her e-reader, and one for a special needs child who feels incredibly special to be one of only a handful of students with an e-reader. Thank you so much for being a part of making these children smile and feel special!!! More e-books will be purchased in the days ahead, so please know that your money will continue to bring joy to the students at our school!.
