The Description

At Mastery Charter Thomas Elementary School we believe that literacy is a social justice issue and that EVERY child deserves equal rights and opportunities. That is why in the past few years we have made big shifts in our literacy instruction to align with the Science of Reading. We are starting this fundraiser to raise money for grade level texts to put in front of our kids for the 23-24 school year to use during our literacy center block to give students the opportunity to build fluency and apply grade level phonics skills. Teachers and staff members at Thomas Elementary should be able to provide students with the resources needed to effectively teach literacy in alignment with the science. Thank you in advance for making a difference in the lives of our students.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal we plan to purchase texts for one grade level at a time.

$ 1,000 raised will allow students to pie a teacher in the face!

$ 2,500  raised will allow students to pie an admin member in the face!

$ 5,000 raised will allow students to tape an admin member to the wall!

$ 10,000 raised will allow students to have a pizza party!

Hello! My name is Lauren Bonner and I am the Reading Specialist at Mastery Charter Thomas Elementary School in South Philadelphia.
