Mr. Trang's Classroom Startup

The Description

Starting in August 2018, I will be a third-grade teacher at Ridgewood Park Elementary School in Orlando, FL.

I am an educator because there are students out there who are not getting the education they deserve, and I want to be a part of the movement to get them that education and guide them in becoming educated, passionate, and positive citizens.

If you know me, you know I am in education because I care, and I will work tirelessly to help my students. Coming from a low-income background, there’s only so much I can do for my students. With your help, I can give my students what they need and deserve. Any help and support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every dollar I receive will be put towards classroom supplies so anything you can contribute really will make a difference for my first year. I want to make a great impression and a lasting impact on my first group of students and letting them know that they have a community that supports them both near and far will definitely get us on the right track. Here is a complete list of the materials that your generous investment will help provide for the students of my very first classroom:

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal, I will purchase as many materials as possible. I will prioritize the materials that are most essential to students (pencils, paper, etc.) as they are the most important to ensuring that students can participate in daily lessons. If a donation is not able to be made at this time, please consider sharing this post for others to see!

About the Creator

I am excited to be a part of the TFA family and join the movement to solve education inequity in this country and provide all students with a quality education. I'm fortunate enough to be selected from a nationwide talent applicant pool to join a teacher corps comprised of leaders who commit a minimum of two years to teach in high need public schools. This summer I will be participating in an intensive skill and knowledge development program aiming to increase student achievement as well as a comprehensive professional development program including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, and content and professional learning communities specific to teaching license areas. I can't wait for my first year with Teach for America.
