With these funds I will... be able to buy 2 Scholastic Accelerated Reader leveled book sets (Grade 1 and Grade 2). Accelerated Reader is a fantastic program that Whitney invests in that has been proven to "accelerate" reading growth exponentially in students. Most of the books I have in my classroom are not Accelerated Reader books, meaning that even if students read them, they cannot take quizzes and track their growth through AR. These books are fun, colorful, and engaging-- I am positive they will get my students excited about reading! These sets together contain 100 books! My students deserve books they want to read.
