With these funds I will...be able to enter my students into policy debate competitions on a highly competative level.  They are already part of the Urban Debate League, but my students have embraced policy debate unlike any team I have ever coached.  Entry fees for teams are pretty expensive we have 22 loyal team members ($30/student) that come to meetings regularly and compete in tournaments already.  My students wish to become even more competitive and enter the St. Marks and other private school tournaments.  They deserve to move up because they are reading and annotating Harvard Law School-styled Core Files.  They have competed since Sept. and have won a trophy case filled with 1st place trophies, medals, and plaques.  These students are on a mission for success.  Most want to go to law school or major in business.  They understand the importance of exposure to competition.  They are unafraid of competition.  My students are odds busters.  The supplies I need are entry fees for tournaments.  http://www.joyoftournaments.com/
