A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School is an urban project-based learning school of choice with the Dallas Independent School District. Technology is the catalyst in our PBL environment with a staff of highly qualified and trained professionals who serve the educational needs of an urban students. These students carry the daily challenge of low-income living standards, but have displayed a tenacity for knowledge through technology in a PBL environment.

I am a debate teacher and coach at a public school with an at risk population. I have been teaching public high school in Dallas ISD for the past 10 years. I am also an AVID teacher and my debaters utilize many of the AVID strategies when organizing and prepping for a debate.
