The Description

In my classroom, I have students that learn in different capacities. Some of my students are very active while others like to be secluded and not bothered. I'm raising money to be able to purchase supplies for both types of students. I want to purchase a class set of 24 study carrels ($24.99/set of 10), or otherwise known as "partitions". The study carrels will be used when students are taking tests, wanting to work privately, feeling distracted by others. This will allow a student to feel as if he/she has his/her own space to work, think, and learn from without being a distraction or being distracted. Also, I am looking to purchase 4 exercise balls ($17/ea) that would be used for my kids who really have the urge to move around. Their moving can be distracting to others. We currently have 2 exercise balls (HUGE SUCCESS) in the classroom and when our students sit on them, they can quietly bounce and not be a distraction to others. I am looking to raise funds for 3 more exercise balls so more students can use them. This may not seem like a big deal but it really makes a difference in my classroom and will allow both types of students to focus, learn, and engage more. Anything will help make a difference!

Back Up Plan

If we don't reach our entire goal we will...use the raised funds to purchase as many exercise balls and study carrels as possible.

We still love our 'chairs'!

March 3, 2015

Last year we got a set of balls as student's seats thanks to all of you! Our classroom has now gained the reputation as the "awesome chair" room. My new kids love them and are wishing we only had balls for seats! They have helped so many of our kiddos who have trouble focusing or staying seated and quiet. I am grateful we were able to get these and they are still such a hit a year later!
