The Description

With these funds I will...be able to give my students hands-on experience and practice with tactile and visual learning aids. My budget is small. I do not have the means to get this needed equipment into the hands and consciousness of my students. My students need experiential science learning. We are a high poverty area. Most of our kids will not get the opportunity to work with hands-on equipment outside of school. I believe it is important that we give them these opportunities. The clay and plastic models will help them internalize key concepts to facilitate successful in both college, and whatever Service or Health career field that they pursue. We currently have one or none of the learning aids requested. In summary: "To be able to touch, handle and manipulate our environment - is to permanently ingrain the lessons contained within!" - anonymous. Stated another way: "The mind cannot forget what the hands have learned!" - Zahourek Anatomy in Clay Learning Systems.
