Toby Weir

9-12 Physical Science, Biology, and Earth and Space Science Teacher

Hello, I am currently in my 22nd year of teaching various science courses that have ranged from 7th-12th grade. I am currently a staff member at Journey School of Choice for the Turner U.S.D. 202 School District in Kansas City, Kansas. Our school ranges from 9th -12th grade and provides primarily online courses for students that are looking to recover credit or attempting to graduate early. The school provides a variety of core courses but I am looking to create more elective opportunities. One of these courses I am designing is an Introduction to Engineering course that will focus on the Next Generation Science Standards using a hands on STEM approach. I am looking to include a robotics module into the course in which the funding will be used to buy the robotics kit.

Troy Claycamp

High School

My name is Troy Claycamp and this is my first year as head girls’ basketball coach at Turner High School. Turner is located in Kansas City, Ks. It is a 5A school with a diverse population. This summer we are focusing on raising funds to help develop our program. By donating to our team, you can help provide equipment and meals to a bunch of hard working, deserving young ladies who are making the commitment to help build a program here at THS and leave their mark for the next group to follow. Sports allow girls to build self-confidence, learn valuable life lessons and develop healthy lifestyle habits and mental toughness. By helping meet our goal of $3600 you will allow us to spend $100 per player. This will allow us to provide equipment we use daily and game day meals for our players. Any donation helps and will be greatly appreciated. As a bonus we have some rewards we would like to offer for your donation to help show your Turner spirit and support for THS Girls Basketball. *Rewards: Please include a valid e-mail and your mailing address for delivery of your rewards! $10 donation gets: a video shout out from the team. $25 donation gets: a video shout out from the team and 2 free tickets to the Feb. 5th home game vs. De Soto. $50 Donation gets: Video Shout out, 2 free tickets to Feb. 5th game and an autographed mini ball of the 2018 team. *Donation Rewards will be delivered after the season begins November 12th. Thank you for helping us build a program that not only excels on the court but also in the classroom and the community.
