Personalized Learning Headphones

The Description

With these funds I will have the tools needed for more personalized learning.  If students forgot their headphones or don't have headphones when working in the Google Computer Science First program or when completing work in a classroom I am in, I will have headphones for them to complete their work.  Some of these headphones will also be very beneficial for students with sensory issues that need the pressure of the larger headphones to help them focus.   The larger headphones are also great to use with students with attention difficulty because they will block out some noise that is around them and help them focus on their task at hand.

Student deserve personalized learning experiences to help them reach their own goals at their particular need.  Also, students often work at their own pace.  When the students have access to tools that support their personalized learning, they are more apt to be independent and try their best at what they are doing.

I will be purchasing 2 different brands of headphones.  I will be purchasing 10 Panasonic's RP-HT21 headphones at the cost of $5.31 each.  I will also be purchasing 6 Sony's MDRZX110 headphone at $14.65 each.

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase I will purchase 1 pair of the Sony headphones and as many pairs of the Panasonic headphones I can.

About the Creator

I am a teacher of students with a variety of needs. I teach students in kindergarten and 4th grade. I love technology and I use it to infuse students learning and to differentiate often in the classroom. I am a big advocate for co-teaching. I believe inclusion of students with special needs is important because we don't want them to have the label of "the student that gets pulled out." Also, when co-teaching, I am able to provide services to students that need extra support and are at-risk.
