By funding this cause, you will support making science come alive in my classroom. Funds will provide supplies for classroom activities and labs to improve student's knowledge and appreciation of Earth Science. These supplies would include construction paper, crayons, markers and more. Funds will also help students get basic supplies such as paper, pens, and a binder for my class. I am introducing more hands-on activities in my classroom because each student learns differently. By allowing the students to interact with the concepts with various mediums, it will improve their chances for success. In addition, I am looking to purchase English-Spanish Dictionaries for my English Language Learners to improve their understanding of the material.

I have 75 students total and I divide them into groups to complete projects and labs. For each class, I need station supplies for about 7 to 8 stations. Supplies would include crayons, markers, scissors and glue at each station. As I mentioned before I intend on having the students complete lab like the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2G8TGCYCnw. Completing labs would mean getting a variety of supplies like the video showed that might include graham crackers. For general classroom supplies, some of my students need binders and college ruled paper to take notes and keep up with their handouts. After the semester is over I intend on recycling the binders to help the students that may need them in my next semester classes. Also, at the stations I want to provide the English-Spanish dictionaries for my ELL students so that they have a grasp on the material as we go through it in class. To purchase the supplies for the station, I will be buying in bulk through the Oriental Trading Company and for supplies for the labs I usually to the dollar store or Walmart.
