About

Hobbton High School is home to the Wildcats! Hobbton High School began its journey in education in the school year of 1957.The twenty three acres of land was purchased from Col.Graham Kerr Hobbs at a cost of $10,000.00.The new principal for the new school was Howard H. Simpson, he served as principal for sixteen years. Miss Jennifer Daughtry now serves at the helm of Hobbton High. She has served as principal since 2013. Hobbton High has a tradition of strong academic program which prepares students for success in college, the world of work, and life. Many graduates from Hobbton High have become successful in the fields of medicine, law, business, education, agriculture, military and other various trades. A new addition to the school was done in 2009 to expand the cafeteria and add administrative space. With the new addition, the front of the school retained the original arches from the old structure and worked it into the new design. The Hobbton High School of today is a blend of old traditions with the technological challenges and needs of the student in the twenty-first century.

Remediation Teacher

I am a first year teacher who remediates students in grades 1 to 5. I love working with children as I not only teach them, but they teach me as well. I have wanted to be a teacher all my life as I feel it's our responsibility to help shape and mold our children to be successful in their life. Not every child has a positive home environment and the tools that they need to be successful. This is where I want to show my students that they can do and be anything that they want. Children are our future and we have no one to blame but ourselves if we are not giving the children of today what they need to be successful later in life.
