The Asynchronous Classroom: Differentiation With Technology

The Description

With these funds I will be able to truly differentiate in my classroom. I will be able to provide choice in my lessons, allow the students to take ownership of their learning in chemistry, and ensure that every student's need is met to ensure they meet and exceed the expectation. I am asking for a set of 20 refurbished iPad 2's so that students can learn at their own pace through videos that I create, make presentations and videos about the material we are learning, write lab reports, conduct research, and use apps like Edmodo, Vimeo, Pages, and iMovie effectively. Thanks to www.MactoSchool.com, we are able to purchase the iPad 2’s for $200/iPad – SUCH A GREAT PRICE!!! We are already starting to use technology like this in my classroom and the students love it, we just have limited access. They are able to collaborate with each other as they problem solve and work to complete experiments and projects. I know my students will be successful in college and beyond with access to this technology in my classroom.

Back Up Plan

If we don't reach our entire goal we will still use the funds to purchase refurbished tablets/laptops for my students because I know this is something that is beneficial for my students.

Wow - words cannot express how grateful I am for all of your donations. My students and I are so excited to use this amazing technology in our classroom! It will help my students prepare for college as they use the iPads for research, lab reports, and more. Thank you so much again, and we can't wait to start using them!

Well done Anne Marie. You are clearly an accomplished fund raiser. Just remember to keep those ipads out of the eyewash splash zone.

Way to go, Anne Marie!

This is so fabulous, Anne Marie! I trust you'll succeed in fostering our future science geeks and lab rats. :)

Good Job Anne Marie. My dad, who was a chemist, would be very proud of you. We are too.

I'm not in the best financial situ right now, but you're an awesome teacher so it's worth it. If you're successful, remind the kids to pay it forward later in life.

Hi honey, your project sounds wonderful!!!
Good luck with the whole thing.
