With these funds I will purchase bilingual books for my students.  My students will benefit from being able to improve their reading skills in English while maintaining their skills in Spanish.  In addition, these books will help students understand science content while learning English.  It is so important for students to become biliterate, rather than losing their first language.  Research shows bilingualism is beneficial for the brain in many ways, in addition to being a coveted skill.  I will be purchasing book sets that coordinate with our curriculum:
