Teacher

I am passionate about students reading good books. When I can help students read a book to find a deeper meaning and connection to themselves and the world around them, there is that sense of helping the world become a better place.

Mrs. Roland and Mrs. Bradley are 6th grade Special Education teachers at Reynolds Middle School reaching out to the community for support and help to provide an exceptional learning experience for their EC students. As most have experienced, virtual education has been a challenge for many students and teachers throughout the current pandemic. Finding efficient resources to help students learn and understand the content has been a struggle for many. We are utilizing PledgeCents to help provide our students with the Voyager Sopris Learning Application that allows educators to plan, collaborate, and provides interactive lessons for students to enhance their online learning experience. Over the course of this 2020-2021 school year, we have noticed the online platforms currently used in the school system are not easily accessible for students with disabilities, and retaining the instructional concepts has been extremely difficult. We are hopeful and excited about this newly founded program and all the wonderful programs the students will have access to enhancing their English language skills, as well as their mathematical understanding.
