Canyon Elementary verified non-profit
Hyrum, Utah
About
Our school is a low income, high hispanic population. It's the best school ever. Our district is one of the most successful districts in the state! Canyon Elementary opened in 2005. We are located on the east side of Hyrum and serve students from Hyrum and Paradise. We currently have 528 students enrolled and feel that we have and outstanding selection of teachers and staff.
Canyon Elementary is the home of the "Colts". Our school mascot "Spirit" can be found in the front office, where students can visit and give her a hug or a scratch behind the ears.
Students and faculty at Canyon Elementary have participated in the Utah Behavior Initiative (UBI) since the time that we opened our doors. Students are taught expected behaviors and rewarded when they are "caught being good". Our Principal's 200 Club is how we reward students with recognition and some fun times.

I teach fourth grade in hyrum, Utah. I love teaching so much and students are the best! My goal is to be able use technology to make the learning experience for my students to be the best it can be! I want my students to be fully engaged in all their learning all thetime. To help bot the high student, down to the struggling student. I believe that technology bridges that gap.
