Central Charter School is accredited by AdvancED and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI). Our campus provides a premier educational program that includes science, technology, art, music and foreign language in grades K-8.
Central Charter School was the second charter school to open in Broward County. Dr. Rosa Lawson, founder and CEO saw an opportunity to start a school to address the academic and social needs for at risk students in the Lauderdale Lakes and surrounding cities. As a result, Central Charter School opened its doors in August 1997 and served approximately 159 students in grades K-2.

My name is John Billingsley. I've been in the education field for roughly 13 years and have loved every minute. Although my educational path was to pursue a career in the corporate world, I fell in love with education and making an impact on todays future. I have worked at a Title 1 school for the vast majority of my time in education, and being able to provide these students with an opportunity for success motivates me every single day.
