About
The Renzi Education and Art Center is an independent, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows founded the Renzi Center in 1997 for the children living in Shreveport's Highland and Stoner Hill neighborhoods, so they would have a safe, nurturing, educational, and fun place to go to after school. At the Renzi Education & Art Center, we believe ALL kids should have the opportunities to continue learning, experience and create art, and have fun after school. But we know not all families can afford to enroll their children in many after-school activities because of prohibitive fees. That's why the Renzi Education & Art Center offers a FREE After School Program during the school year to ALL K-12 kids in the Shreveport-Bossier area. We also offer a three-week Summer Arts Camp in June. The mission of the Renzi Education and Art Center is to provide free, high-quality after-school academic and art classes and summer camp to K-12 youth in the Shreveport-Bossier area, so that all children have the opportunity to explore, learn, and create, under the guidance of professional teachers and artists.
