The South Allegheny Elementary School is a newly constructed, state of the art facility housing grades 2-6, located on Washington Boulevard in Port Vue. The new building has over 300 student computers, all networked with internet access. The school also hosts its own state of the art video distribution center.
Welcome to the South Allegheny School District. Our District is located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, approximately 10 miles south of Pittsburgh. Our District serves 1,521 students from Glassport, Liberty, Lincoln, & Port Vue Boroughs. We currently have 122 teachers, and 30 full-time and part-time support personnel in 3 buildings: South Allegheny Early Childhood Center, South Allegheny Elementary School, & South Allegheny Middle/Senior High School. South Allegheny Middle School received the PA Schools to Watch award in 2009 and earned redesignation as a School to Watch in both 2012 and 2015.
