I am a veteran teacher with over 20 years of experience. I have taught at the secondary level, at the same school I went to, for the entirety of my career. I have taught all levels of learners, in a couple of different subject areas. My students have a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. The school I teach at educates roughly 3000 students a year. It is situated in a small-“ish” town. While we are a title 1 school meaning the majority of our students are low-socioeconomic status. Our school has a rich athletic and academic history- but that often overshadows and brushes aside the struggle of our students.
