We are a Title 1 elementary school within the Shelby County school system in Tennessee. The mission of Winchester Elementary School is to provide a safe and positive learning environment that empowers students to develop socially and progress to Middle School having met or exceeded standards in all academic areas. The vision of Winchester Elementary is to create an environment that recognizes, appreciates, and respects the worth of each individual in our school family. We will promote a safe learning environment that focuses on human relations and academic success for all stakeholders. Our school community will cultivate the process of life-long learning by exploring technology as an enhancement tool. We will empower students and staff to use data collaboratively to drive decisions about the process of learning. We will work through a partnership with our community to provide the necessary resources and support to produce a positive educational environment that is essential for learning.

Hello I am a first year first grade teacher at Winchester Elementary. We are located in the community of Whitehaven in Memphis, Tennessee. Winchester Elementary is a Title 1 school, meaning that the majority of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. I am committed to my students. Our class moto is that everything is possible. I am raising money for my students so that I can provide them the books and supplies they need in order to engage in a rigorous curriculum and allow my first grader be successful citizens. Reading skills are priority 1 in my classroom and we need chapter books that my students will be excited to read. Thank you for taking the time to check out what I am embarking on this year. I presently teach kindergarten in an urban school district where all students receive free lunch. I have been a classroom teacher for thirty-fours and love being a public school teacher. I have taught on a secondary and primary level. I have a BA in early childhood, a Masters in curriculum instruction, and a specialist degree in School Administration.
