W. T. White High School is a public school in the Dallas Independent School District serving North Dallas students in grades 9-12. The school, named in honor of the Dallas school superintendent who served from 1946 to 1968, is located in North Dallas about a mile southwest of the Interstate 635 (LBJ Freeway) and Dallas North Tollway intersection. Parts of North Dallas are zoned to W. T. White, as well as sections of Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch.
W. T. White features high academic standards, a diverse student body, and a well-rounded program of educational and extracurricular activities. Several curriculum academies are available for students. The Academy of Business and Marketing, Academy of Engineering, and the Academy of Information Technology and Academy of Theatre Arts accept all interested students. The Pathway for Visual and Performing Arts requires all students to audition or submit a portfolio for consideration.
