The Description

Students who are going on this trip have earned it through hard work. They each had to compete in a Regional Competition and a State Leadership Conference. At the state conference, they ranked high enough among others in the state of Kansas to qualify to compete at the national level. 

Our students have qualified in the following events: 

  • Advanced Interview Skills
  • Payroll Accounting
  • Graphic Design Promotion
  • Network Design Team
  • Advanced Word Processing
  • Database Applications
  • Administrative Support Research

The National Leadership Conference is more than just a place for students to compete at a higher level. NLC also offers leadership courses to students and community service opportunities that our students will participate in. 

The estimated cost per student is $1200 for this trip to Orlando, FL. With money raised, we will be able to help students pay for hotel rooms and flight costs. 

Travel expenses include: 

  • $250 for round-trip flights to Orlando
  • $400 for hotel rooms

BPA expenses include: 

  • $115 for registration
  • $10 for any program courses (Adobe programs)
  • $15 to participate in the Walk for Special Olympics
  • $15 for any Certiport tests (Microsoft Office)

All other money is for food and fun events, such as Disney World and van rental to go to the beach. 

Back Up Plan

Any amount of money will be helpful. Even if we do not meet our goal, we will find a way to get all 8 students to Orlando. Our students are working very hard to come up with as many fundraising ideas as possible between now and May.
