Allons Elementary School is a PreK-8th grade public school in a very rural area. We serve over 300 students.

Overton County has an excellent school system that strives to meet the individual needs of all students. Local, state, and national goals are a major focus of the day-to-day operation of the system. The mission of the Overton County Board of Education, Director, administrators and teachers, in a partnership with the lay citizens of Overton County, is to produce young men and women who will leave our system with the ability to think clearly, use good judgement in all areas of life, be competent in basic skills, be prepared to learn throughout the rest of their lives, and who possess the ability to do well in whatever endeavor they may choose.

The governance of the school system is overseen by a board of education made up of ten members. The board appoints the Director of Schools. The Central Office Staff supervises attendance, child nutrition, federal programs, special education, technology, and vocational education.
