In addition to building a space that holds everything from laser cutters and 3D printers to a wood shop, metal shop, and textiles area, we want to create a viable, long-term business model. We don't want to just focus on getting the doors open - we want to make sure they stay open.

Maker Nexus Steering Committee
This campaign is run by Maker Nexus, a nonprofit organization working to open a new Makerspace in the Mid-Peninsula area of California. This makerspace will provide tools and resources to makers, like laser cutters, 3D printers, a wood shop, and a textiles area, as well as lots of open workspace. We'll also have an extensive education program for adults, and an immersive STEAM program for kids. We want to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that allows makers of all ages and kinds to grow.
