Ashley Thomas

5th grade teacher

My name is Ashley Thomas. I am a 5th grade ELA/Social Studies teacher in a rural, low income school in South Louisiana. I have been teaching for 15 years. My main goal is to provide a safe, effective learning environment for all my students regardless of economic background. It is my hopes to be a positive role model implementing real-life skills as well as educational skills in a way that develops mindful and prosperous adults.

Thomas Clement

Teacher

I have been teaching 5th grade for 11 years in Walker, LA at North Corbin Elementary. I love teaching Math and Science, along with working with plants and animals. We are experimenting this year with Hydroponic and Aquaponics gardening systems. We have a small scale system in our classroom now where we are producing cherry tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, and peppers. I have a great group of 5th-grade students who are hard workers and quite good with technology.

Sommer Wadsworth

SPED Teacher

I work in a rural community at a Title I school. I have two classes of 10 students each.My classes is made up of all 1508 . They are full of love and will do anything to please. I want to give them the best opportunity available for learning. Sometimes small changes illicit big results and this is why I think that providing flexible seating will really increase focus for these students. It will give them a chance to move safely while remaining engaged.
