About

W.E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and Middle School is committed to preparing our students with the skills necessary to become lifelong learners. We believe that respect for students, parents, community members, and other stakeholders is a must by all members of our learning community. We are committed to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of all our students by providing exemplary programs. W. E. Greiner Middle School is one of the largest middle schools in the state of Texas with nearly 1800 students enrolled. Greiner has a rich history stretching back to the turn of the 20th century. The original classrooms were separate plank buildings on a grassy South Oak Cliff field. In 1915, the plan for a new middle school was decided upon. That building or what remains of it, is still part of the Greiner Middle School campus.

Teacher

I'm an 8th grade English teacher at Greiner Jr. High in Dallas. I've been a teacher for 11 years. Prior to teaching I was a police officer. I grew tired of dealing with juveniles who had made bad decisions and were then being introduced to the criminal justice system. I was motivated to try and reach these students before they reached that point, and decided to became a teacher. My goal now is to help students reach their full potential and grow up to become educated, productive members of society
