About

Cassandra Corder
1st grade
I began teaching in 2011 and moved to my current district in 2016. This is the community that I live in and I know these children very well, many are my neighbors. I decided I wanted to teach when I was in elementary school and have focused all my studies on that goal. I began volunteering in elementary classrooms while in high school and I would always TA for teachers as a class period. I taught preschool while going to college and substitute taught while getting my credential. I love working with students of all ages in all areas. I believe a student’s desire and passion for learning is formed during their first few years of school, so it is very important to capture their love for school early on. The students come to my classroom excited for the day and I work very hard to ensure that this excitement continues throughout each day. The students come from a wide range of home environments, but they all come from families that want the best for their children.

I am a 3rd grade teacher working in a title 1 district. I have a passion for technology and I think that technology provides so many opportunities for differentiation and student support that it can be an equalizer that allows students of all skill levels to be able to access grade level curriculum.
